The United States men’s national team may have to face Ecuador without their captain, Christian Pulisic, after the winger picked up a minor knock during training earlier this week.

According to U.S. Soccer, Pulisic’s condition is “day-to-day,” and medical staff will make a final decision just hours before kickoff.

Head coach Gregg Berhalter commented:

“Christian felt some discomfort in his thigh. We don’t want to risk anything before the qualifiers, but he’s desperate to play.”

If Pulisic misses the match, Gio Reyna or Malik Tillman could take his place on the left wing. Fans are already debating whether resting him is the smart move, with the World Cup qualifiers just around the corner.

The friendly between USA 🇺🇸 and Ecuador 🇪🇨 will kick off tomorrow at 8 PM local time, and millions are expected to tune in to see if the Chelsea legend returns to the pitch.
