
Friendly Match: Uzbekistan Fall Short Against Uruguay in a 1–2 Battle

In a friendly match held in Malaysia, the Uzbekistan national team faced off against the strong Uruguay side led by Marcelo Bielsa. Despite showing great determination and organization, Fabio Cannavaro’s men narrowly lost 1–2 after a spirited performance.
Uruguay took the lead early in the first half, showing their trademark attacking football. However, Uzbekistan responded well after the break, as Jiyanov equalized with a confident strike inside the penalty box.
After the game, head coach Fabio Cannavaro shared his thoughts:
